House Supervisor
Reports To: Executive Director
Salary: $15–$18 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: 10-hour split shifts (flexible, based on program needs)
Position Summary
The House Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation and oversight of the group home, ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment for residents. This role provides direct supervision of staff, oversight of resident care, and enforcement of program policies and state regulations. The House Supervisor serves as a leader within the home, ensuring that services are delivered with compassion, professionalism, and in full compliance with Pennsylvania Chapter 3800 residential child care regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the home, including scheduling, staff assignments, and resident routines.

Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to direct care staff, ensuring consistent, high-quality care for residents.

Monitor compliance with all agency policies, licensing standards, and regulatory requirements.

Conduct regular house inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to health standards

Assist in staff training, coaching, and performance evaluations.

Support and mentor residents in areas such as life skills, decision-making, and coping strategies.

Respond to crises, behavioral incidents, and emergencies, ensuring safety and appropriate documentation.

Collaborate with case managers, counselors, and program leadership to ensure individualized service plans are followed.

Maintain accurate records, reports, and incident documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with external providers as needed (schools, medical providers, courts, and community services).

Provide transportation for residents and/or oversee staff transportation responsibilities as needed.

Administer medication in compliance with agency policy and state regulations, maintaining accurate medication records.

Assist with household management, including food shopping, meal preparation oversight, and maintaining an organized living environment.

Participate in staff meetings, training, and program development to continuously improve services.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Human Services, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in residential programs, corrections, or human services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Knowledge of trauma-informed care, behavior management, and crisis intervention strategies.

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to transport youth safely when required.

Familiarity with Pennsylvania Chapter 3800 regulations strongly preferred.
