Non-Discrimination in Services Policy
1. Policy Statement
Harbor of Anchored Hearts is committed to providing equal access to all programs, services, and activities without discrimination. Every youth, parent, guardian, and family has the right to file a complaint if they believe they have been treated unfairly based on race, sex, color, national origin (including Limited English Proficiency), ancestry, religious creed, disability, or age.

This policy ensures that clients, residents, parents, and guardians are fully informed of their rights and the procedures for filing a complaint both internally and externally
2. Internal Complaint Procedures
Any individual who believes they have been subjected to discrimination may file a complaint with Harbor of Anchored Hearts.

Complaints may be submitted verbally, in writing, or by email.
Harbor of Anchored Hearts will:

Document the complaint.

Conduct a prompt, fair, and confidential investigation, which will be completed by the Compliance Director.

Provide a written response within 30 days.
No individual will face retaliation for filing a complaint.

4. Notice of Rights
All residents, clients, and parents/guardians will receive a copy of this policy during intake/admission.
The policy will also be:

Posted in public areas of the facility.

Included in family handbooks and admissions packets.

Available upon request in alternative formats (e.g., large print, translated copies).
